Phrases to use
Listen to the people and then read the phrases and their explanations.
- Hello: Use this when meeting someone for the first time or in formal situations.
- Hi: A casual and friendly way to greet someone.
- Good morning: Use this greeting in the morning until around noon.
- Good afternoon: Use this greeting from noon until evening.
- How are you?: This is a common way to ask about someone’s well-being.
- I’m fine/OK/okay, thank you/thanks: A polite response to “How are you?” when you are doing well.
- What’s your name?: A question to ask someone’s name.
- My name is [your name]: Introduce yourself by sharing your name.
