What time is it now?

Something more about the clock.
Look at the pictures and understand how it works.

Read the time

What time is it?
Look at the picture from left to right and read how to say what time is in each clock.
- It’s half past ten (in the morning/in the afternoon). It’s 10:30 a.m./p.m.
- It’s a quarter to five. It’s 4:45 am/pm.

More practice
First, read the sentences loudly and clearly. Now record your answer. After recording, listen to your answer and if you like it, download it to your computer and then send it to your teacher. IMPORTANT: you need only Google Chrome to do the task from this page. You can use your own device for recording too.
Let’s repeat!
Look, Ayli get confused with all that stuff about time and clocks. Let’s help her and repeat loudly for her the time on the clocks again. First, look at the clocks and read the time on each of them. Then check yourself by clicking the button under the picture.

Great job!
What do you do at this time?
Look at the pictures, read the sentences under the pictures. Then say what the kids do at pointed time. E.g.: The boy in picture 1 plays golf at 12 o’clock.

Now record yourself
Pronounce loudly the sentences from the previous exercise. Say like this: The girl doesn’t practice archery at 6 o’clock. She practices archery at 5 o’clock. Mind ending -s in the third person singular.
Days of the week
Ayli doesn’t know the names of the weekdays. Help her please. Put the days of the week according to their order. Which day is the 1st? 2nd?

What do you usually do at this time on every day of the week?
Look at the pictures. What are the people doing there? Are they doing it only now or do they do it every day?

After some time, Ayli started to do some interesting activities with her friends Earthlings. Look at the pictures and pronounce the days of the week with the preposition.
Now say what Ayli does at each time and on what day. Here are some words and expressions to help you: go to school, go to drawing classes, dance, do karate, play tennis, read, go to the theatre.
You can say: Ayli goes to school on Monday at 9 in the morning.
Now say what you do on the same days. Say at what time.
E.g.: I go to school on Monday at 08:30. On Tuesday at 4 pm, I do gymnastics.
Remember to use AT with time (at 5 a.m.) and ON with days ( on Saturday).
